Overview
Crown Hotels is a collection of boutique hotels located in the historical heart of St. Petersburg, offering comfort, elegance, and a prime location to both international tourists and Russian business travelers. Although the hotels were well-positioned offline, their digital presence lacked consistency, modern appeal, and strategic reach. Tenlive was brought in to build a new visual and functional identity across digital platforms, optimize the hotel group’s discoverability in search, and strengthen direct relationships with guests through social media.
Objectives
The main objectives of the project were to modernize the visual identity of Crown Hotels, redesign the existing website to reflect the group’s boutique character, increase organic traffic through multilingual SEO, and establish a professional, lifestyle-oriented social media presence that would engage both local and international audiences.
Our Approach
Tenlive began with a complete redesign of the hotel website, creating a bilingual platform that presented Crown Hotels as a sophisticated and welcoming destination. The site was structured to highlight the unique features of each property, simplify direct bookings, and support guests with useful location-specific content. The visual direction combined understated luxury with local authenticity, aligning with the expectations of modern travelers.
Simultaneously, we developed and executed an SEO strategy tailored to the hospitality sector, with keyword targeting in both English and Russian. All site content, metadata, and structure were optimized to ensure performance in search engines across both domestic and international markets. The technical foundation of the site was improved to support faster load times, mobile usability, and better indexing.
For social media, Tenlive took over full editorial and creative direction, launching a cohesive content strategy focused on culture, design, location highlights, and guest experience. We restructured the Instagram and VK pages to reflect the renewed brand style, developed custom photo and video content, and introduced engagement mechanisms to build a loyal online following. The tone was refined to be warm, informative, and visually elevated — designed to appeal to modern travelers, digital nomads, and local tastemakers.
Results (within 3 months)
After the relaunch, the new website began to attract significantly more organic traffic, with strong performance for target queries such as “boutique hotel Nevsky Prospect” and “hotel St. Petersburg center.” Direct booking activity increased due to improved user flow and trust factors. On social media, engagement metrics more than doubled, and audience growth was consistent, with increased shares and saves indicating high-quality content resonance. The bilingual nature of the digital ecosystem made the brand accessible to a wider market and reduced reliance on third-party platforms.
